Washington

After leaving LA at 11pm, arrived at Dulles airport at 7am. The Palomar is a quirky boutique hotel near DuPont Circle with some interesting artworks adorning the foyer. After a bit of breakfast I headed out to reacquaint myself with DC. I walked towards the Lincoln Memorial first then headed back along the Mall towards the George Washington monument.
I visited Newseum this time which is as the name suggests, a potted history of all things media and journalistic. Actually quite good - I'd recommend it.
It's 32 degrees C today so pretty warm for walking around, Starbucks with its aircon and free wifi beckoned. However my trusty iPhone weather reminds me it's supposed to rain later today.
